USGB represents for me – as its regional partner – the place where we advise clients in many areas of law while at the same time, taking care of both their national as well as international cases.
In my practice, I focus on all aspects of EU, Belgian and French competition law, including merger control, cartels, abuse of dominance, litigation, state aid and distribution law. I also counsel on issues of consumer law, company law and unfair trading conditions, and often provide legal advice in regulated areas, mostly in matters relating to the financial sector.
I frequently represent clients in proceedings before the European Commission, Belgian and French competition authorities, as well as in litigation before European and national courts. In the context of international transactions, I also coordinate competition merger filings in various jurisdictions. In addition to my private practice, I study legal issues in the above fields as a member of the group of external researchers at the Brussels university Université libre de Bruxelles.
Prior to joining USGB, I worked in several major international law firms in Brussels and as an in-house lawyer within the competition and contract law department of the French bank Caisse des Depôts et Consignations in Paris.
I am fluent in English, French, Slovak and Czech, and I like spending my free time by engaging in theatre shows.
